Add to the list of superstorm Sandy restaurant casualties Cattlemen’s Steakhouse & Saloon in Lindenhurst, which was situated on Montauk Highway alongside a canal.
The place, which opened in 2010 and spawned a short-lived Port Jefferson Station offshoot, was known for its Old West ambience and big, inexpensive steaks.
What will become of the locale remains to be seen.
