Changes at Lula in Mineola

Lula Trattoria, whose weekday lunch service launched in March, is now back to just serving dinner seven nights a week. General manager Thomas Gibbons, who joined the small-plates Italian in August, said that he hoped to resurrect lunch in the future.

Gibbons is a busy man; in addition to running the dining room he is also overseeing the kitchen. Lula’s opening chef, Thomas Gloster, left in July; he is now the executive chef at the Harbor Club at Prime, the new waterside catering facility just north of — and under the same ownership as — Prime American Kitchen & Bar on Huntington Harbor.
