Long Island's first Chick-fil-A officially opened in Port Jefferson Station at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, but already there were long lines as eager customers began camping out in the restaurant parking lot a day earlier. The early birds sought to be the first 100 people to win a year's worth of free means during the restaurant's grand opening.
