Chicken Place roosts in Patchogue

Seems like something is always hatching in Patchogue. New to the area is the Chicken Place, a charming little Peruvian restaurant with lots more to offer than chicken.
Even so, it was roasted chicken “with Peruvian flavors” that I ordered for lunch the afternoon I happened by. A quarter of a deeply savory bird (dark meat, if you please) plus a side (I got rice instead of fries, which weren't hand-cut) and a salad came out to a well-spent $6. Even more of a bargain: a whole chicken (no sides) for $10.
Also on the menu: anticuchos (traditional marinated grilled beef heart, $7), arroz chaufa (pork or chicken fried rice, $12) and fish ceviche ($13).
