Three very popular dining-out choices come together at the new Chris & Tony's in Syosset: Italian, steak and family-style.

The restaurant, on the former site of Fulton & Prime and, years ago,  Manero's, already is a destination for groups, whether they're celebrating birthdays or simply looking for a good meal.

The hefty, Kobe beef meatball topped with a scoop of ricotta is worth sharing. So are the stuffed artichoke, trio of sliders and shellfish cocktails. A dozen preparations of pasta are available in linguine, rigatoni, capellini and whole-wheat versions. Huskier appetites can go for the chicken Parmigiana or porterhouse steak; more modest ones can enjoy the chicken alla Ariana, thin grillings atop escarole and white beans or the basic chicken paillard.

And the eggy cheesecake is fine.

Appetizers and main courses feed two or more.
