Hard cider will be the drink of choice on Saturday in North Fork wine country.

"Pour the Core," a hard-cider festival, will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Peconic Bay Winery, 31320 Main Rd., Cutchogue. It's the second annual ciderfest. Admission is $40. Visitors must be at least 21 years old.

In addition to tasting ciders, seminars on cider and cider-making are scheduled. More than 30 ciders will be poured. There also will be live music. Maple Tree BBQ of Riverhead will prepare the  food.

The event will raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Beer for Brains Foundation, for brain-cancer awareness.
