Cinelli's in Oceanside changes name to Prova
From the La Piadineria portion of the Cinelli's menu comes the San Tomasso. Made from prosciutto di parma, roasted peppers, artichokes, fresh mozzarella and arugula with balsamic venegar and italian oil, the piada is a popular flat bread from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. If you’re searching out the piadina (also called a piada) recently featured in Newsday's “Cheap Thrills: 10 Bites under 10 Bucks” article, it helps to know that, as of today, the restaurant behind that dish — Cinelli's Pizzeria & Grill in Oceanside — has changed its name to Prova.
Owner Franco Abballe said the pizzeria-trattoria, once affiliated with Cinelli’s in Franklin Square, has changed much since it first opened. Abballe decided to go with the name — which, in Italian, means “try it” — after polling his clientele via Facebook.
