Gabrielle's Brasserie + Wine Bar, which remade itself last year under chef Michael Ross, has closed.

The stylish spot stood out not so much for its brews and vino, but for New American cooking that often was very good. No news about Gabrielle's successor, if any, at the North Park Avenue address.

Gabrielle's was preceded at the downtown Rockville Centre site  by another New American eatery, 22 North Park.
