Hokkaido, a Japanese restaurant in Albertson, has closed. The capacious spot, which received a one and a half star rating, featured hibachi theatrics as well as sushi and sashimi.
I called Hokkaido's telephone number and got a recording stating that the restaurant is currently undergoing renovations and will reopen shortly as Sakaya.
