Closed in Commack: Southside Fish & Clam

Southside Fish & Clam (an offshoot of the Lindenhurst original) has shut down while the site undergoes renovations.

The place, which I wrote about in a previous blog,  offered counter service only. According to owner Sal Gambino, a spring reopening is in the cards for a new incarnation, The Main Catch, a full service seafood, steak and pasta restaurant.

The original Southside Fish & Clam is at 395 W. Montauk Hwy., Lindenhurst, 631-226-4265, and has been there since 1934.
