Two Hewlett restaurants join the list of 2010 closings.

First to close is Graffiti, the offshoot of a long-standing Woodbury spot that hit the Five Towns scene in 2005. I have fond memories of a lunch there with my late mom and mother-in-law, who, that day, had her first Cobb salad (which she still calls her favorite). Other hits: crab-intense crab cakes, a credibly Chinese mu shu chicken hand roll and a surprising tuna salad made with chopped green apple.

Also gone is Midori, a Japanese restaurant that debuted in 2003. ""Midori pulls into town like a Hummer with vanity plates," Peter Gianotti wrote in a one-star review, calling the setting "grandiose" and the tuna tataki and tartare "rich fish."
