Hot biscuits. Braised short ribs. Pork osso buco. These are some of the comforts recalled from Geri’s in Long Beach, which is now closed.

The restaurant, which opened in 2008 and was located at 631 E. Park Ave., was helmed by chef Andrew Piselli. Almost as memorable as his cooking was the art in the dining room, depicting the likes of Humphrey Bogart, Marilyn Monroe and Ludwig van Beethoven. It was an assortment of luminaries as eclectic as Piselli's repertoire.
