Closed in Riverhead: Cody's BBQ & Grill

Cody's BBQ & Grill made its debut on Riverhead's Main Street in 2011; now, it has closed.

The venue was known for having a vibrant bar scene with live music groups. On summer nights, the outdoor deck was often packed. On the menu were wings, burgers, sandwiches, steaks and such BBQ classics as ribs, chicken, pulled pork and chopped brisket “burnt endz.”

If you're hankering for BBQ in Riverhead, know that you can also seek out the new Joe's Garage and Grill, which fronts the same parking lot as Cody's rear deck. Or else head over to Maple Tree BBQ, a short drive away. Both places take the art of slow-smoking seriously.
