La Vana, which brought the cuisine of Cuba to Rockville Centre, has closed.
The restaurant, which got a rating of one and a half stars, served a knockout Cuban sandwich as well as fork-tender pernil (slow-roasted pork). Service, however, was agonizingly slow.
It’s always sad when a restaurant doesn’t make it through its first year.
