A satellite branch of Northport's Cook’s Scratch Kitchen & Bakery (which received a three-star rating after opening in 2013), is now up and running in Huntington, within one of Long Island’s foremost bookstores, Book Revue. Co-owner Josh Cook said the counter-serve cafe features an abbreviated version of chef Stacey McDevitt’s repertoire at the original spot. Here, that means scones, muffins, cookies, blondies, brownies, quiches, frittatas and a few sandwiches.

Among sandwich choices: The Turkey, with cranberry chutney and havarti cheese, ($9.75) a chicken salad wrap ($9.75) a pressed ham and Gruyere croissant ($7) and a pressed Nutella and peanut butter sandwich ($6.50).

Hours are concurrent with those of Book Revue: Monday to Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Cook’s Scratch Kitchen & Bakery at Book Revue is at 313 New York Ave, Huntington, 631-824-6234. The original Cook's Scratch Kitchen & Bakery is at 1014 Fort Salonga Rd. Northport, 631-651-5480.
