D19: Sports gastropub opens in Ronkonkoma

At the new D19 Sports Lounge & Eatery in Ronkonkoma, you can watch the big game while putting away fare a bit more ambitious than the usual wings and burgers.
Which isn’t to say the menu doesn’t prominently feature both sports bar classics. Here, though, you can also get a chicken Marsala “tower” ($18.95) or pastry-wrapped meat loaf ($18.95), courtesy of chef Jesse Frascella, who defines his repertoire as “classic American with a twist.” Frascella previously cooked at the Country House in Stony Brook and Truffles in Wading River.
When I stopped into the bilevel spot for a quick peek, all looked very minimalist and contemporary, the predominant color a cool gray. An upstairs space can be used for small private parties.
