Dairy Queen to give away free ice cream cones

It may not feel like spring just yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate it.
Dairy Queen is marking the first day of spring by giving away free ice cream. Visit any participating DQ on Tuesday to get a complimentary vanilla soft-serve cone.
The chain will also be collecting donations for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Last year’s event raised more than $300,000 for the charity, according to a press release.
On Long Island, Dairy Queen locations include East Northport, Medford, Huntington, Massapequa and Levittown.
