Del Fuego, Tex-Mex restaurant in Patchogue, closes after 11 years downtown

Downtown Patchogue has lost Del Fuego Tex Mex Kitchen and Tequila after 11 years.
The restaurant, at 25 W. Main St., announced in a social media post that Tuesday was its last day in operation.
"To everyone who walked through our doors over the years — thank you. Thank you for the taco nights, margaritas, celebrations, family dinners, first dates, birthdays, laughs, stories, and memories," the post said. "Most of all, thank you for allowing us to be part of this community for more than a decade."
The Patchogue eatery opened in 2015 in a 100-year-old building, Newsday previously reported.
In addition to its Tex-Mex food made in-house from scratch, Del Fuego offered an array of 65 tequilas and rotating selection of craft beers, its website said.
The restaurant also has locations in St. James and East Northport.
"From the entire Patchogue crew, thank you for 11 unforgettable years," the post said.
