Located in Sag Harbor's American Legion building, with outdoor seating and water views, Dockside offers a widely varied menu which is available all day and draws on Thai, Asian and Mexican influences, among others.
But no matter the cuisine, the emphasis is on fresh local fish and local organic produce. Visitors to the airy, blue and white restaurant tell the owners they can feel the heart and soul of the place. There's a club feeling here, with lots of regulars and return customers. The fresh herb- and crumb-crusted cod, with a lemon beurre blanc sauce, spinach and mashed potatoes, is $20, while the pan-fried crab cakes, served with a spicy remoulade, asparagus and basmati rice, is $22. The chicken is free-range, and lobster is available everyday, with the lobster salad a crowd favorite. The restaurant has seating for about 70.
