Located at the very top of the Nautical Mile's canal, E.B. Elliot's has less of a water view than some other establishments. But it makes up for it with one of the nicer interiors: classic pub with lots of wood and brass. There's also a second-floor dining room with its own deck.
The seafood-heavy menu has many Asian influences: kung-pao chicken, shrimp and calamari; seared ahi tuna with lo mein noodles, wonton-crusted tempura shrimp, Thai chicken and pasta. Entrees tend toward the embellished: almond-crusted St. Peter's fish with lobster beurre blanc, grilled maple-mustard salmon with lobster home fries, oven-roasted rack of lamb with mushroom-dried cherry risotto and ried wine demi glace. (Don't worry about the kids: they have their choice of mac and cheese, burgers, grilled cheese, chicken fingers or spaghetti marinara.)
There's also a lively bar scene with happy hour every Monday through Friday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. with drink specials and a free buffet. The outdoor bar also has live music periodically during warm months.
If you want to dock and dine, there are two slips and free dockage for diners.
