Now that the Hollywood awards season has unspooled its final credits, you can take a brief French vacation at Nick & Toni's for $38.
The celebrity canteen, and very good restaurant for Italian cuisine, will offer a taste of Burgundy starting on March 10. This includes a four-course, fixed-price menu of regional dishes. The Burgundian fare will be available all night on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Choices on the regional French carte include escargots prepared with garlic and butter, Gruyere-cheese puffs, sauteed frogs' legs, pheasant finished in red wine, duck-confit salad, beef cheeks bourguignonne, a fish stew, and gingerbread with warm cherry sauce.
