Rowdy Hall, the bistro-pub, gets festive starting Saturday.
The restaurant, known for its American, English and French fare, begins celebrating Oktoberfest with a $23 fixed-price dinner featuring a German main dish. For the first week of the 'fes, it's sauerbraten with braised red cabbage and a puree of turnips. The eatery also will offer a $9 beer-tasting flight of Oktoberfest brews, including Spaten and Paulaner.
Then, on Sept. 23, the place will take on a beer-hall look and style, with picnic tables and communal seating. At 5 p.m., diners can expect to hear live "oompah" music, too. Seasonal beer specials will be offered.
Rowdy Hall is at 10 Main St., East Hampton; 631-324-8555.
The fries are good at Rowdy Hall year-round.
