Scrambling for just another taste of summer? For many, this means a burger eaten in open air.

Here are four places to find your fix.

BRIXX & BARLEY

You’ll want to request a sidewalk table to properly enjoy the beefy, juicy, expertly grilled burgers here. One option is the namesake Brixx burger featuring fried onion wisps, jalapeño and Cheddar, plated with fine, hand-cut fries.

ALL AMERICAN HAMBURGER

Classic fast-food burgers, hand-cut fries and thick shakes are the order at this landmark stand. Sun lovers will find outdoor tables — but no umbrellas.

BAY BURGER

Even the burger buns are made from scratch at chef-owner Joe Tremblay's ultracasual spot. Try a juicy, hand-shaped burger with the works or the very good veggie burger. Sit out front at an umbrella table or at a table on the rear patio.

JOE'S GARAGE & GRILL

In good weather, exterior garage-style doors are thrown open, so there's not much division between the outside dining patio and the interior of this race car-themed restaurant. Chef Brian Burner offers a juicy burger cooked to specs. Be aware that it comes on a somewhat sweet bun.
