For a limited time only, Georgio’s Coffee Roasters is offering a true rarity, Esmeralda Gesha from Panama, one of the world’s most celebrated single-estate coffees. At the annual Esmeralda auction on May 19, 6,000 pounds were on offer. Georgio Testani snagged about 40 of them. “It is coffees of this caliber that keep us passionate about what we do,” Testani said in an e-mail.  “The flavor is vanilla, peach, sweet and clean with a lingering finish—it raises the hair on my arms.”

Testani roasted a first batch last week; the next roast will be on Aug. 25. The coffee sells for $100 / pound. At the shop, Testani will also siphon-brew you a 12-ounce cup for $10. Despite the prices, this stuff goes fast. Call before you come to make sure you won’t be disappointed.

Georgio’s Coffee Roasters is at 146 West Jericho Tpke. Huntington Station, 631-470-7797
