Three of Long Island's priciest a la carte steak-and-sushi houses will offer fixed-price dinners for two on Sundays.
Insignia in Smithtown, Blackstone Steakhouse in Melville and Rare650 in Syosset plan to serve three-course dinners for two for $79, $89 and $99. Additional diners can take part for $39.50, $44.50 and $49.50, respectively.
The restaurants are operated by Anthony Scotto. Mikhail Apelsinov is the chef behind the menus. The three restaurants each earned a three-star rating in Newsday.
From the $79 menu, the first diner gets sliced filet mignon, the second roasted capon; two appetizers from a choice of spicy tuna roll, mozzarella-and-tomato, or salads; and two desserts from cheesecake, chocolate cake or ice cream.
At $89, it's the filet mignon and shrimp scampi-style; and the same appetizer and dessert choices. At $99, there's one more main dishes. They are filet mignon, the shrimp scampi-style and the roasted capon; and the same appetizers and dessert selections.
The a la carte menus also are available on Sunday.
