Bagel makes final list of new emojis for 2018

Attention Long Island: Captioning your breakfast food photos on Instagram is about to get a lot easier (and more animated).

The Unicode Consortium has released their finalized list of upcoming emojis and the bagel has made the cut.

The bagel joins the pizza slice in the emoji library to complete a dynamic duo of quintessential Long Island foods.

Other new food emojis include a mango, cupcake, leafy greens, salt shaker and mooncake.

A release date for the new emojis has not been announced.
