Fans of the music that ruled much of Manhattan's party circuit during the 1990s and early 2000s may want to consider a trip to LOVE in Carle Place on Friday, Sept. 26, as Danny Tenaglia, a major nightlife player of that era, is slated to spin.
One of the better-known DJs to ever come out of the NYC club scene, Tenaglia has been spinning for close to 30 years, and enjoys a resume that’s hard to deny. He’s remixed music by such celebrated artists as Madonna, Janet Jackson, Yoko Ono, Bette Midler and Cher — and was nominated for a Grammy Award for his 2002 remix of the Depeche Mode track “I Feel Loved.” In addition, Tenaglia once served as the resident selector of now-defunct (but still iconic) Manhattan nightclubs The Tunnel and Twilo, while also working at various nightspots and arenas both nationally and globally throughout his career.
Danny is best-known for his sessions of tribal house — a genre that’s all at once funky, deep and a bit hypnotic — but as he is an extremely experienced DJ, all sorts of beats are fair game for incorporation into his efforts. He'll be appearing after 10 p.m., with tickets available for $20 in advance via wantickets.com. For more information, visit LOVE online at lovenightclubli.com or facebook.com/lovenightclubli.
