The challenges of the last two years have only strengthened the farmers market movement, as home cooking assumed more importance and home cooks realized the value of local food sources. Long Island now has 42 weekly markets, from Valley Stream to Montauk, Port Washington to Shelter Island. New for 2022 are East Meadow, St. James, Wading River, Riverhead and Southold.
