Jamesport Harvest anticipates a bumper crop of Asian pears this year. The fruits, which average from 7 to 15 ounces, are of the Olympic variety and never get soft, according to Emilie Zaweski, who owns the farm with her husband, Mark. "They will store for months in the refrigerator," she said. The pears sell for $3.99 a pound and can be bought directly from the farm at 506 Church Lane in Jamesport.
