Since opening two weeks ago, the deceptively large space has been drawing a crowd, especially on weekends. The appeal? Surely it's the sheer range of diversions under one roof. You might start by sitting for a meal in the cavernous dining area, where the menu of American fare includes entrees ($14.95-$24.95), salads, pizzas and desserts. Move on to the parlor-like bar -- decorated with dozens of black-and-white photos of rock stars -- or the open-air patio and beer garden, with its wooden benches. Back inside, there's a large, sunken dance floor (country night is Thursdays, $5 cover). An elevated concert stage will play host to local favorites Randy Jackson (Wednesday, Sept. 19) and Big Shot (Friday, Sept. 21, $5-$10 cover) as well as nationally known groups like Candlebox (Nov.4, $22-$24).
Something more subdued? The Emporium also has a four-lane bowling alley with its own bar. Up to eight people can play on each lane ($20-$25 per lane for 30 minutes).

Although first and foremost a restaurant, there's a late-night bar and live music scene brewing after prime dinner hours here. But unlike other spots where the DJ, bartender or band picks the play list, guests can dock in their iPhone or iPod and run their music for the crowd. The best seat might be on the outdoor patio, where you can settle in with flatbreads, appetizers and a glass of wine, often with live entertainment.

The address is familiar -- the space as been known as Bianco Ultra Lounge, Viper Bar and, most recently, Silk -- but last week it reopened as Wall Street. The club-like vibe still holds strong (think strobe lights, low banquettes and an elevated DJ booth), but the crowd is shaping up to be a bit different. Friday "corporate" happy hour starts at 5 p.m., segueing into a DJ-dancing night for singles ages 28and up. On Thursdays and Saturdays, guys need to be at least 23 to get in.
