June 25 is the two-year anniversary of Michael Jackson's death. Considered by many to have been the greatest entertainer of all time, the public’s fascination with the man’s music and incredible dance moves remains high. And while the world will never see "The King of Pop" take a stage again, a certain venue on Terry Road has a bash on-deck that will give all a taste of what "MJ" could do with his feet:
The Blacksmith Tavern in Smithtown is throwing an '80s party, and will feature DJ Mikey the B.A. spinning classic tunes and old school hits from live band The Ronald Reagans.
However, the main event of the evening will be when MJX takes the stage -- a premiere Michael Jackson tribute artist -- who will perform to such Jackson hits as "Beat It," "Billie Jean," "Thriller" and more (you can check him out on YouTube here), sequin glove and all.
It all starts at 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, and will otherwise be a regular club night, with tickets $7 in advance (at tutorcentral.net; could be more at the door.
