New hotel to open in Riverhead

Whether you're heading to Riverhead for shopping at Tanger Outlet Center, wet and wild fun at Splish Splash, an adrenaline rush at Riverhead Raceway or as a stopping off point before heading farther east to the wineries, farm stands and dining destinations of the North Fork, a new option for weekenders is opening this summer.
Hotel Indigo, an upscale boutique hotel, is set to open July 29.
In addition to the 100 guest rooms, expect a lounge-restaurant, Bistro 72, an outdoor pool area, event spaces and local shuttle service.
