It’s common knowledge that New Year’s Eve is a night for parties, and just about every bar and eatery on LI that serves alcohol will live up to that expectation by hosting some sort of function designed to festively bid farewell to 2013.
But what about the Long Islanders wanting a good time that begins after the ball drops? Like around lunchtime?
For those among us who need fun to be available early on the first Wednesday of 2014, The Beach House restaurant and pub in Long Beach has an all-day mash set to go that will offer live music, drink specials, food and sports-watching – and feel free to stay in your PJs if planning on attending.
As it has done during years prior, The Beach House LB is doing a “New Year’s Day Pajama Party,” which means anyone heading down is welcome (and encouraged) to don nothing more than sleepwear (although regular clothes are fine, too). The spot will be serving both its brunch and regular menus, and selling $3 domestic bottles, Bloody Marys and mimosas. There will be live music at 2 p.m., and the day's scheduled NCAA football bowl games will be playing on all 22 of the venue’s plasma TV screens throughout the day.
