"Rent" Broadway stars in Sag Harbor for concert tour

If you’re into musical theater, you’re in for a big treat in Sag Harbor next week.
Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, the Broadway stars of “Rent,” will hit Bay Street Theatre on Monday night during a leg of their national concert tour “Adam & Anthony Live!” The show marks the only tour stop in Long Island this summer.
“It’s a chance to see two of your favorite stars from ‘Rent’ up close and singing some of your favorite songs,” says Tim Kofahl, Bay Street’s director of marketing and public relations.
After 15 years of co-starring roles, the pair will offer fans a closer look of their individual work and their “Rent” performances. The show features live music – an intimate trio for Pascal and a full pop band for Rapp during respective solo performances.
Pascal will showcase classics from “West Side Story,” “Cats,” and “Cabaret,” along with inventive arrangements of classic standards. Rapp will perform well-known pop songs like “Losing My Religion” and original material from his Off Broadway show, “Without You.” Cool songs with a hot band.
Both actors will also share the stage to trade stories about working on Jonathan Larsen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical and perform popular duets in “Rent.”
