How do you know it's FINALLY, officially, summer?

Well, there's the obvious way, the summer solstice, also known as the longest day of the year, which was Monday. There's the weather, which is consistently hovering around 90 degrees. For the kiddies, it's the end of the school year. Personally, there's my constant need to eat ice cream (I'm looking at you, Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter). And then there are the pools and water parks open each and every day, and if you're a Long Islander, that means Splish Splash!

As of this week, Splish Splash is now open daily through Labor Day. Starting on Saturday, the hours reach their peak, extending from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Last year we covered this insane place for ExploreTV. I was scared to death on the Cliff Diver, had a blast on the Tunnel of Terror and enjoyed watching my co-host freak out on Alien Invasion. All in all, a great way to spend a hot, summer day.

Watch the video below, suit up and head out. You'll thank me.
