Harbor Crab in Patchogue is once again taking a party from its usual spot along the town river docks and putting it in the Bellport Country Club.

It’s the “Third-Ever Harbor Crab Co. Surf-n-Turf Classic,” and it’s going down Monday, Oct. 24.

Anyone looking to combine the laid-back attitude and menu options of "crab with a day of golf" should get to the country club at 10 a.m. to register and be ready to drive as the competition starts in shotgun-fashion at 11 a.m.

All players receive a gift; greens fees and carts are covered, as are refreshments and a barbecue lunch. Players will be sorted into “JV” and “Varsity” ability brackets, and a special notation will go for such standard tournament achievements as longest drive, KP (player with the top tee shot), even the “worst golfer” will get acclaim.

Don’t think the last green is the end, however, as all players can then return to Harbor Crab afterward for cocktails and a surf-and-turf dinner. No worries if your spouse or special someone doesn’t feel like tackling the greens; they can join postplay festivities as well.

Registration is $200 for solo players, $800 for foursomes (includes golf reservations, giveaways, the cocktail reception and dinner); those only attending the after-party reception and meal pay $75. Call Mark Miller (631-721-3041) or Brian Kearns (516-509-9853) for more information.
