Back for its fifth season, the automobile enthusiast group Exotics Rally is getting ready for its annual Turkey Run for Charity Challenge, set for 8 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 13.

As always, the challenge is a vehicular gathering and adventure, and this year won’t be any different, as participants will take part in a tour of the entire Island. All will need to complete various tasks to complete the experience (while obeying all applicable laws) before settling in to the after-event luncheon.

The actual challenge won’t be unveiled until the launch (a navigation system and cellphone that takes pictures are, however, strongly recommended), and surprises are to be expected.

Anyone interested in joining in can go to exoticsrally.com and sign up here. Admission is $150 per person, with a portion of the proceeds going to Katy Starck, a 27-year-old woman with cystic fibrosis,  who is awaiting a double lung transplant (and she will be in attendance as well throughout the event, riding in a luxury vehicle provided by exotic car rental service Gotham Dream Cars).

The starting line is at  Exotic Classics in Syosset, 100 Gordon Dr. but whether you’re taking part in the contest, showing your support or just want to see what it’s all about, the kickoff party takes place at  Sugar in Carle Place at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12.  No cover until 10 p.m.; $10 after with free hors d’oeuvres.
