Fork & Vine, the fine New American restaurant at the Glen Head railroad station, is expected to be sold, perhaps by month's end.

Owner Stuart Brown said that he expects the site will remain a restaurant. Brown has cooked there since the address housed Elmer's and On3.

Brown said he "plans to take a little rest" after 25 years in restaurants, after which he'll do private consulting and cooking.  Fork & Vine has been open 2 1/2 years. It was rated two stars in Newsday.

Details about possible new owners weren't immediately available.
