Garden City: It's Rein-ing Oscar

Rein, the restaurant at the Garden City Hotel, is getting ready for the Academy Awards with cocktails and dishes in honor of nominees.
So, on Feb. 27, you can down "The Social Network," a tapas plate to be shared; split-pea soup with the "127 Hours" cured pork belly confit; and "Winter's Bone"-in short ribs atop "True Grit"s with braised mustard greens.
Devotees of "The King's Speech" can order the Scotch that George VI named after his father: the regal Johnnie Walker King George V.
And there are cocktails celebrating "Toy Story 3," "Inception" and "Black Swan."
Rein also is offering a ballot on winners in five categories -- best picture, actor, actress, supporting actor, supporting actress -- to anyone ordering one of the cocktails or a dish that could lead to a prize of Sunday brunch for two at the hotel, worth $160.
