Gastropubs continue to open around Long Island at a brisk clip, and the most recent one is Parkside Christian’s in Farmingdale.

The restaurant features a 40-seat dining room, with garden seating in the works. And for blustery days, there is a working fireplace in the bar area.

The kitchen, run by Eric Engvaldsen, features mac and cheese with a selection of toppings; nine options for specialty hamburgers; and variations on wings, pasta, seared hanger steak or fish and chips.

Prices range from $6 to $12 for appetizers, $13 to $17 for pasta, burgers that start at $10 and entrees between $13 and $20.

It’s open for lunch and dinner, noon to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until 11 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.

Parkside Christian’s is at 48 Motor Ave., Farmingdale; 516-694-1000

Correction: In a previous version of this story, Engvaldsen’s previous work history was incorrect.
