GC: Thursday tastings at Upper Crust

Are you one of those people who just has to taste a little of everything? If so, you may be interested in what’s going down Thursday nights at Upper Crust Cafe in Garden City.
From 5 to 9 p.m., every item on the menu (except burgers) is available in a small portion at a cost of $5 apiece. Chef co-owner Nicholas Lucchesi estimates that to put together a filling meal, you'll need anywhere from three to five of those portions, one of which is dessert. So that means you can sample a Caesar salad, macaroni and cheese and seared sea scallops, followed by a mini brownie sundae for a grand total of $20.
