When you're a Giants fan, you think Big Blue ... and big everything else, too.

So, to fortify yourself before and during the Super Bowl, there's a basic strategy: Giant food to satisfy the expansive appetite for victory.

Let devotees of the New England Patriots take the Puritan route, sticking to either the minimalist or the standard-size strategy. They can be content with cocktail franks and mini-sliders, petite chicken wings and unadorned nachos, little cups of chili and clam chowder. Doesn't amount to a hill of baked beans.

It's as if they're prepping for the Gisele Bündchen diet.

Score with food on a scale to intimidate the Brady bunch and satisfy Eli and Co.

Here are a few recommendations for Giant fare with a kick, when portion control goes out of control.

The lobster is a New England symbol. You can find one in the 15- to 16-pound range, or a bit smaller, too. At the super-jumbo size, you may want to sic 'em on Patriots fans. The lobsters may be purchased already cooked or very much alive. Just be careful with those boxing-glove claws.

No heating required, no silverware, either. The 6-foot hero is the classic Super Bowl meal. Badolato's makes standard Italian and American varieties for $14.99 a foot, but when it's your own team in the championship, why not spring for this grilled chicken-fresh mozzarella-roasted pepper-sundried tomato number. Served on a braided sesame-seeded roll.

It's a tower of power, a carnivore's dream, a cardiologist's nightmare. The kosher-style Pastrami King Special comprises pastrami, corned beef, roast beef and salami piled into a multi-decker sandwich that nobody's mouth will fit around.

It's 30 inches across, Sicilian-style thick, and delivers about 40 slices. That's roughly the equivalent of five regular pies -- a Roman shield. And you can have a message put on it made with garlic knots. Give them 24-hours notice. Is this heaven or what?

The football-theme cupcake is 61/2 inches high and 7 inches wide: vanilla cake, filled and frosted with chocolate cream cheese, crowned with a football-shaped cookie and green sprinkles. Or you can order the mega-cupcake with other cake, filling, toppings or themes.

The 64-ounce growler, or container, may be filled with one of eight brews, the typically available selection. That's a fair amount of beer.

Measuring a foot in diameter, the melon-size rice ball from this Rat Pack-themed Italian mini-chain is made with ground beef, peas, risotto rice and marinara sauce, served with a scoop of ricotta.

These are the colossal-plus variety, dubbed U-4. That means they're four to a pound, for a truly super-sized appetizer. The shrimp are available cooked or uncooked. You'll need a lot of cocktail sauce for these guys.

These brontosauran beef ribs from Smokin' Al's can hook you up with your inner cave dweller. Even so, you don't have to be Fred Flintstone to appreciate all that tender, smoky meat.

You'll want to go long with this dog, which measures a foot in length. Find it at Angelina's Fireshack in New Hyde Park, a place where excess is the norm. The "Rachel" is topped with pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, diced pickles and 9-grain mustard. Eat one for the team.
