Bistro M, the cozy, three-star restaurant at the Glen Head railroad station, will close tomorrow.

Mitch SuDock, the chef and co-owner, is expected to open a new restaurant in Nassau within six weeks. Toni Contino, manager and maitresse d' at Bistro M, will join him in the new venture.

Neither SuDock nor Contino would comment on the closing. But a source familiar with the Glen Head restaurant said that it may remain open with a different name. Details about SuDock's next restaurant weren't immediately available.

Bistro M has been in business for seven years. SuDock earned three stars in Newsday shortly after opening and held the rating for the eatery's entire run. His contemporary, eclectic menus recently included dishes as varied as sweet-and-sour brisket sliders, pumpkin ravioli with balsamic brown butter, pistachio-crusted halibut with creamy polenta and chanterelles, and steakhouse fare.

Today and tomorrow: Bistro M, 70 Glen Head Rd., Glen Head; 516-671-2498.
