Cheeburger Cheeburger has opened up in The Gardens in Great Neck. (That's the Waldbaum's shopping center, at the corner of Middle Neck and Great Neck Roads.) The space used to house the Korean bakery-sandwich shop Koryodang. Cheeburger Cheeburger, a nostalgia-themed burger-fries-shakes restaurant, also has locations in Farmingdale and Plainview, but all three Long Island stores are owned separately. Cheeburger Cheeburger is at 46 Great Neck Rd., Great Neck, 516-829-2433.
Moving northward, the space at 132 Middle Neck Road (corner of Cedar Drive) that was, until last fall, Bistro Grill, now has a sign in the window promising a new Ayhan’s Shish Kebab. A spokesman at Ayhan’s in Port Washington confirmed, but couldn’t say when the new restaurant would be ready to open.
Finally, 613 Middle Neck Rd., the address that housed Michael Ginor’s Tel Aviv and then Anise, is now Sushi Fussion, a kosher sushi restaurant with branches in Forest Hills and Flushing. That’s not a typo: Fussion has two s’s. According to the restaurant’s website, “If you wonder why Fussion is spelled with two S’s, then here is the reason behind it. Each 'S' stands for each one of the partners’ Style of Service that we offer to our clients.” Sushi Fussion is at 613 Middle Neck Rd., Great Neck, 516-441-5900.
