Green Cactus Grill: Tacos for a good cause
Tomorrow, July 21, all 11 Green Cactus Grills on Long Island will donate 100 percent of their proceeds to the United States Fallen Heroes Foundation. The mission of the USFHF is to build a monument, in Kennedale, Texas, to commemorate the sacrifice of all of the U.S. service men and women who have died in Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
According to Green Cactus Grill’s co-owner, Mary Jane Richardson, the idea for the campaign came from her son, Vincent Fedorczyk, a 17-year-old who has become increasingly interested in military service.
Green Cactus Grill’s motto is “We don’t use MSG, can openers, freezers, lard or microwaves.” It also serves a mean fish taco.
