Guido's in Huntington closed

Another restaurant has passed into history. Guido’s Italian Restaurant in Huntington, which opened in 2006, is now vacant.

The restaurant was challenged from the start: Although it had a Main Street address, it faced onto a municipal parking across from the Huntington post office on Gerard Street. Even so, owner Guido Iammuno, a warm and charming host as well as a skilled chef, managed to hold onto the business for six years.

I still recall his gutsy, full-flavored chicken scarpariello and silky zabaglione over strawberries.
