Holiday for corn fritters in East Hampton

You may want to mark your calendar for this one: Saturday, July 16, will be National Corn Fritters Day. Giving the day its due will be Harbor Grill in East Hampton. From 4 to 6 p.m., the restaurant will feature two corn fritters for the price of one ($6.95) at the bar. Additionally, all night long, diners will receive a free corn fritter with each entree ordered from “The Grill and Beyond” menu.
A few selections from that roster: “yo mama’s" meat loaf with milled potatoes and homestyle mushroom gravy ($15.95), roasted prime rib of beef with baked potato and horseradish sour cream ($22.95), and shrimp scampi with pancetta, tomatoes, garlic, lemon and white wine over linguine ($19.95).
