There is an answer to the mounds of snow and the forecast for more. It can be found at Kozy Kettle, the storefront soup shop in Huntington.

This modest, little place changes its selections each week. Bracing for tonight's dusting-plus, passersby will find the warmth of a fine corn chowder, white bean-and-escarole soup, vegetarian or turkey chili and the staple of chicken noodle, among others, ready to go.

The prices range from $5.99 for a 12-oz. serving to $7.99 for a 16-oz. portion, depending on the soup you choose. Each one comes with a popover. Let it snow.

Kozy Kettle is at 366 New York Ave., Huntington; 631-547-5388.
