Huntington: Tour Italy at Piccolo Mondo

Piccolo Mondo is in the midst of a culinary tour of Italy. Every Wednesday night, the Huntington restaurant presents a $34.95 fixed-price menu highlighting one of the boot’s 20 regions. This week: Umbria:

Selection of crostini (Catelluccio lentils, black-truffle butter, chicken liver)

Fava bean puree with scallion oil and aged pecorino

Black strangozzi (rustic spaghetti) with chard, pesto and almond sauce

Brook trout with black-truffle sauce

Involtini of Cotechino sausage and veal over lentils

Ricotta canederli (dumplings) with rhubarb coulis

The price includes two glasses of wine, in this case a white Campogrande Orvieto (Santa Cristina Antinori) and a red Fiamme Umbria Rosso (Lungarotti).
