Ikea in Hicksville: Meatball madness

The Swedish meatballs at the Ikea restaurant on the second floor have been marked down to $3.99—from last year’s price of $4.99. That is not a lot of money for 15 really good meatballs in cream sauce, served with potatoes and lingonberry preserves. Last night we had the meatballs along with some good-enough salmon ($6.99, served with dill sauce, potato-broccoli croquettes and forgettable steamed vegetables).

Downstairs at the Marketplace, however, the price on my favorite “365” pepper mill had gone up a dollar, to $7.99. Still a bargain though.
